Brand Identity Project:

Caudillo

Caudillo is a conceptual branding project for a premium craft brewery based in Tampa, Florida. The name, meaning “leader” or “chief,” served as the North Star for the visual identity, demanding a presence that feels both historically rooted and modernly refined.

The Vision

The centerpiece of this project is the custom-illustrated icon. I wanted to move away from the industrial or hipster tropes common in the industry and move toward something more expressive and fluid.

The Visual Anchor

The logo for Caudillo was designed to command attention. Combining a custom illustrative icon with the English Towne Medium typeface, the wordmark strikes a balance between historical authority and the gold standard of craft brewing.

Tactile Professionalism

Branding extends beyond the screen. The business card design utilizes a high-contrast layout, featuring the deep navy and muted gold palette. By splitting the card with a clean horizontal line and a watermark of the icon, the design communicates the dual nature of the Founder & Brewmaster.

Lifestyle & Context

A brand truly lives in its environment. I created product mockups to visualize the label design on the Tampa coast. The label utilizes the Caladea Bold and Montserrat typefaces to ensure that even in a lifestyle setting, the product details remain legible and premium.
